Gwen was born in California, just weeks before the 2nd millenim. A love of reading and writing followed only a few years later, and she submitted her first short story to Reading Rainbow at age 6 (though it was sadly the first rejection as well). Her first love has always been western comics, primarily big 2 Bronze Age superhero comics. That being said, her artistic inspirations span a vast breadth of space and time, with her second love being writing for film and televisio. Chief among her inspirations are Grant Morrison, Osamu Tezuka, Darwyn Cooke, William Gibson and Jack Kirby.
